All final images.

-If you had to leave your heart somewhere, where would it be?

-Somewhere secret.

-Somewhere dark.

-Somewhere colourful.

-Somewhere you would be happy to sit all day.

-Somewhere powerful.

I think that they all turned out very well, I am quite proud.
If I could do it again I might change the 'Somewhere colourful' picture a little and use real balloons.

Actions.

Actions is a tool on photoshop that allows you to recored yourself editing a image.

You can get free downloadable actions to improve your own images.
-Load an image on photo shop.
-Then google 'Photograph actions for photoshop' then click on 60+ Useful Photoshop Actions For Photo Enhancements
-Then scroll down and choose an effect.

-Then click on the link above the picture effect you like.
-It will then appear in your downloads, then drag it to your desktop.

-Then go to 'Window' then 'Actions' to bring up the menu.

-Then to upload your downloaded action go to the button at the top of that menu.

Then click the first one down from the bit that has just come up, then press play.

This is how it changed my picture, using the action.

We then had ago at making our own  'Action'

First we had to open a portrait picture.

Then click on the 'Create new action' button.

Then we named it, and set some function buttons up so that when we wanted to do the same effect to another picture we just had to click those buttons and the effect would happen.

Somewhere Dark gif, Watching.

I was sitting on my bed and I took my glasses of to clean them and noticed my lamp shade's reflection in the lenses. So I decided to take a picture:

For this shot my camera settings were:
Shutter Speed- 1/15
Aperture- F5
ISO- 400

This is the lampshade above my bed.

I was sat in the middle of my bed about here.

Then I wondered what the pictures would look like in black and white, and then had an idea to make the eye like shapes move around my glasses like they were looking around my room:

This was the first Black and White picture I took. I had the same Shutter speed and Aperture as the colour photo but I did have to rise the ISO to 800 because the Black and White setting made the picture darker.

With each shot I angled my glasses differently so that the lampshade was in a different place each time.

I took these images and made them into a gif on GifNinja.com

This is the outcome:

Watching you from inside you own source of vision.
I think it is quite creepy and it really defines the word 'Dark'.

I call it: 'Watching you from inside your own source of vision.'
Here is a second one I made recently:

A glitch

Somewhere powerful.

When I hear the word 'Powerful' I think of : Time, superheros, spirits, music and soul.
Music and soul can be very powerful and full of emotion. I had my camera set up on the tripod and I took a picture of my sister with a slow shutter speed but she moved as I took it. This gave me a great idea for a ghost type shot.

I had my Shutter Speed at: 1"
Aperture: F5.6
ISO: 200

This was a pratice shot with the settings above. I set a 2" timer so she could get into place and then the shutter clicked once and for about half a second she stood there and then for the other half I asked her to get out the shot, so that when the photo took there was a frame of her there but not a full picture.

Then I asked her to stand infront of the christmas tree and point at the camera, so that when I took the photo it looked like she was coming out of the tree at me. She stood in the shot about the same amount of time.

She stood in the shot a little shorter then the others so you can't see her as much.

Then we tried at the top of the stairs in a white dress with a candle. I set the Stutter Speed a little slower this time, at 1.6".

This is my favorite shot, the Shutter Speed was at 2" this time. I asked her to pose for this shot like an old victorian woman. I am going to use this for my final image.

This is where I took the shot, on the landing.

I typed 'Powerful into Google images and these type of images came up:

The power of freedom.

Power of the universe.

I will now have a look at what and how I can change and edit it on photoshop:

I lowered the brightness and contrast for these pictures.

Somewhere you would be happy to sit all day

I typed 'Somewhere you would happily sit all day into 'Google Images' and this is what came up:

A cat sitting chilling on a bed.

The beach is a very happy place to be.

One idea I had for my own picture was to take a picture of the seats on a train because I love train rides and I could really sit there happily all day.

This is my favorite of the 3 pictures. I think it is quite abstract. I took it with my camera on my knee so it is at an angle.

Another idea I had was to photograph the inside of a sweet shop, after all that is somewhere anyone would like to sit all day.
I have recently just got a job at a sweet shop which is what gave me the idea. So I asked if I could take pictures around the shop when there were no customers around.

This is the front of the shop.

I think I will use this picture because it shows the whole of the shop and you can see everything there is to eat.

This is some of the stock.

Some more sweets.

I really like this shot.

I will now have a play around on photoshop and see what I can improve.

The only thing I did to this picture was change the 'Brightness' to 65 and the 'Contrast' to 23 just to brighten the picture.

This is the final picture.
